The wedgewood blue Crenshaw House
B&B nestles among giant oak and pecan trees on an acre site formerly inhabited by Creek Indians. Built by Auburn University Professor Bolling Hall Crenshaw, this graceful Victorian structure features bay windows and delicate gingerbread trim. Rich architectural details, tasteful period décor, and comfortable antiques create a peaceful atmosphere for guests. On the National Register Of Historic Places, guest rooms in this 115
years old Main Building feature 12 foot vaulted ceilings. Gleaming porcelain,
brass, and richly carved mantles provide a perfect setting for an appealing
collection of antique furniture. Guests order breakfast selections The Carriage House Building is a cozy recent addition to the original structure in a garden setting behind the Main House. This quite retreat has guest units with kitchenettes including full size refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and toasters. Custom made work desks with overhead lighting, eye level outlets, and adjustable office chairs make these rooms work friendly and ideal for longer term stays. Complimentary breakfast baskets are placed in the respective refrigerators. Guests help themselves in the morning. All Guest Units have private baths, Cable TV, VCR, WiFi, Clock Radios and CD Players, a well lit desk, and internet access capabilities. Our direct telephone lines to each guest room is a very desirable feature for those with lap top computer and desiring to access internet. Hair dryer, iron, and ironing is board available on request. The Sun Room is a place to gather, and is perfect for breakfast meetings. This room will seat 8-10 people, overlooks a peaceful backyard with tall trees and flowering shrubs, and offer total privacy.
